WORLD For All (W.F.A.)

This NGO was started by a group of youth with a broad vision to actively engage other idle youth in the community.  Their love for their country, passion to be involved, dedication to the cause and ideas for change is what has made this organization so successful.

W.F.A.’s projects start through community observation.  The volunteers recognize a need in the community, brainstorm ways to alleviate the need, and then take the necessary steps to implement their idea.  It is fundamental development at work in the community for the community.  Each volunteer brings a unique skill to a project and allows the organization to utilize its diversity to benefit the local community.

Through community-based programs, the youth are able to make a difference while gaining practical, technical, and professional skills that they can take on with them to future employment.

Current Project:

Kids - School
School for street-children:

The school has 40 street children between the ages of five and 15.  This school is run and operated at no cost to the students or their families.  Once a student is admitted to the school, the children, as well as their family members, are able to use the school’s clean supply of drinking water, visit the doctor regularly.  The students currently receive three nutritional meals per week due to limited funds, we have not been able to increase to daily meals..

The students are given uniforms, shoes, books, pens, and a notebook to come to school with everyday.  The curriculum is a practical-based learning model, geared towards literacy, computational math, and spoken English.  Once a student reaches a certain level of competence and ability he or she is placed in the mainstream government schools.  They are still given all the same access to the resources for being a part of our program but they will receive more rigorous preparation for the mandated standardized tests in grades 10 and 12.
